What is RINGS

What We Are — And What We Are Not

What We Are

  • A volunteer-run, faith-based 501(c)(3) ministry.
  • A team that meets weekly to restore donated vehicles.
  • A ministry that gifts restored vehicles to individuals and families in need.
  • A community of people seeking to live out 1 Peter 4:10 by using our gifts to serve others.
  • Supported primarily by donations, fundraising events, and the generosity of others.
  • Focused on helping recipients become a blessing to others through reliable transportation.
  • Committed to sharing the redemptive good news of Jesus Christ with the community, car lovers, wrench heads and the families we serve.

Our Heart

  • Every vehicle we gift began as a donation from someone who wanted to help.
  • Every restored vehicle represents many volunteer hours and generous financial support.
  • Our desire is not simply to provide transportation, but to encourage faith, stewardship, and service.
  • We believe God can use one donated vehicle to impact many lives.
  • We ask recipients to receive these gifts, wisely, with gratitude and to use them to bless others in return.

What We Are Not

  • We are not a dealership.
  • We are not an automotive repair shop.
  • We are not funded by foundation grants or government programs.
  • We do not have any paid staff.
  • Unfortunately, we do not have unlimited resources.
  • Unfortunately, we do not have an unlimited number of vehicles available.
  • We are not able to determine who the next recipient will be, until we are finished restoring a vehicle.
  • We cannot provide a vehicle to every deserving applicant.
  • Applying for assistance does not guarantee the receipt of a vehicle.
  • Unfortunately, due to the overwhelming number of applications RINGS receives, we will not be able to update each applicant on the progression or denial of their application.
